Charissa was born at Seattle Washington, United States on May 4, 1982. ESPN analyst was hired to be a co-host by SportsNation at the end of 2012. She was the host of the ABC program Splash together with Joey Lawrence. She was co-hosting the ABC series Splash alongside Joey Lawrence.. Thompson was born in and was raised in Seattle Washington. She was the youngest of trio of siblings, she was aware that broadcasting was what she always wanted to do from an early age. Thompson graduated from Inglemoor High School located in Kenmore Washington. Thompson relocated from Washington to California in order to enrol at one of the colleges for community students. Thompson says that, despite everything Sports Illustrated said about her decision to leave Washington State for an institution of higher learning in California and then transfer onto UC Santa Barbara she never went to WSU.
